The working principle of the visual component mainly includes the working mechanism and mutual cooperation process of key parts such as light source, lens, camera, image processor and software.

Light source
The light source plays a vital role in the machine vision system. It provides sufficient illumination for the detected target to ensure that the camera can capture the image clearly. Different types of light sources (such as LED ring light source, low-angle light source, backlight source, etc.) can provide different lighting effects to help the system better identify the target.

Lens
The lens is a key component connecting the camera and the target, and is mainly responsible for beam modulation and signal transmission. The quality of the lens directly affects the clarity and quality of the image. Lens types include standard lens, telecentric lens, wide-angle lens, etc., and the selection basis is generally based on factors such as camera interface, shooting object distance, shooting range, etc.

Camera
The camera is one of the core components of the machine vision system, responsible for converting light signals into electrical signals. Common camera types include CCD cameras and CMOS cameras. Industrial cameras have high transmission power, anti-interference power and stable imaging capabilities, which can ensure the quality of the image.

Image processor and software
The image processor is responsible for receiving image data from the camera, performing high-speed processing and calculation, and finally outputting the processing results. Image processing software uses algorithms and computer vision technology to read, process and analyze image data to achieve target detection, identification and tracking.

Visual sensor
The visual sensor is the direct source of information for the machine vision system. It is mainly composed of graphic sensors, and sometimes light projectors and other auxiliary equipment are required. The visual sensor captures light and converts it into a digital signal, and then compares it with the reference image stored in the memory to make an analysis.

Through the collaborative work of these components, the machine vision system can achieve various detection, judgment, identification and measurement functions, and is widely used in industrial automation, quality control, safety protection and other fields.
